This series focuses on the decaying nostalgia of an american neighborhood. Geographically, it is located in the midst of three rapidly developing cities: Seattle, Renton, and Tukwila, all of which are less than one minute away. Just south of the Ranier Valley neighborhood of Seattle, Allentown sits along the Duwamish River. With a single park, grocery market, community center, a truck & train lay over yard, and high methamphetamine use - It represents many of the qualities in that of a classic suburban lower-income American neighborhood, aside from the drugs. For now, I'm interested in capturing the contrast between the physical characteristics of each home. While documenting the aesthetics of each house, I am not treating it as architectural photography but instead as a precious artifact - soon to be lost in the occurring integration.
